Blogging - A world governed by new laws of social physics

Imagination in spades

A quest for greater understanding
... Isn't that we're all looking for when we blog, when we post ideas - certainly, when we join a community of social writers? I speak for myself and no others when I say blogging is this and more.

Blogging is a way of mulling over thoughts, clearing up concepts and pushing the human limits of perception. This isn't a world bound by physical limitations, this is a universe founded by imagination...

Moreover, I believe that our imagination is a commodity - a thing of value that can be bought or sold. But in a virtual world so free, why is it that creativity is still being stifled by real-world concepts of work, entertainment and wealth?

To answer that logically, how can our minds percieve what is outside our realm of knowledge? How can anyone imagine what has not been already experienced? Even dreams of mythical creatures, fantasies of incantations, potions and wizardry - even then, the shapes and colours must be derivative of real-world concepts.

Therefore, the key to true freedom lies not in the development of a world in opposition to the one we know, but in the creation of a universe, custom-built to assume strength where we once knew only weakness. This is how we grow - this is how we stretch the limits of perception, of knowledge and surpass potential.

The key now - most especially in the Blogosphere - is in the redefining of modern science to form a new theory of virtual-social government. A new theory of social acceptability and notions of new-world trade, wealth and wealth distribution. In this, we can create a world of equality - where hard work is rewarded and the creative thrive, concieve and further our understanding. This I call New Relativity or Digi-Physics.

Quite right, Einstein even said "I am enough of an artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

Social Physics...I like the sound of that.

Thanks for the great post. Something interesting for me to ponder on as I trudge back to school again next week.

Hi Anthony

Our imaginations are the most important thing we have and should be stretched and exercised at every opportunity.

I too see blogging as a healthy way to keep our imagination active and happy ... essential to the well-being of all humans.

Great post.

Hey Anthony,

Great post!

Unfortunately I thinik that imagination is stiffled by learning and simply growing up. If you asked a child an an adult to come up with a scenario, I bet the adults would be more rooted in reality, because we know that the boogeyman doesn't exist or that dogs really can't speak. But a child doesn't know that yet and their imagination is often more fertile.

I think blogging does help the imagination, because a lot of the constraints of everyday life are taken away. And god knows our imaginations should be encouraged as much as possible.

I like the term Digi-physics

Anthony,

I am just wondering how did you come up with this theory? Was it from experience or just an "eureka" moment of enlightenment?

Cheers, mate

I have absolutely no idea where this came from. But I will say that I sat under a tree and an apple fell on my head. That's how all great theories are discovered, isn't it?

Thank you for visiting, Ben. I'm not much of a finance man, but you do make it interesting.

P.S. I just have too much time on my hands and I think too much. Then I come out with stuff like this.. Strange, huh?

G'day!

I totally agree. It happened to me not too long ago when I woke up to a rather obscure formula of addressing a problem of economic rights. I am gona work on it under a more concrete settings hoping to make it "theoretically" workable; The Economic Potential Rights Valuation/Quantification Project.

No worries, mate. Your blog is indeed worth visiting. I am happy to hear that my finance stuff are interesting to you but I am still working on it, refining it and make it better everyday.

Too much time? I wish I have all the time to do my stuff. You are lucky, mate.

Cheers

Ben
