ALIENS EXIST: Is our defence of priority?
December 10th 2006 08:09
At least Blink 182 thought so. They even wrote a song about it. But we’re having enough trouble with international politics, civil unrest, environmental activists and peace-driven socialists to guard ourselves against an intergalactic meteor strike. And 72% of all U.S. ground troops in Iraq believe they should get out within a year. What will they do when Mars Attacks?
Yes, you’re right. That was a film in the mid-90’s. And for years there has been speculation about strange, foreign life forms. But what if the other ‘people’ in the universe are less advanced than ourselves? What if they have been unable to survive on the terrain in which they were born. With all the creatures on Earth, the human race is by far the most advanced and certainly the most dangerous. Let this be a warning to all those green, bobble-head shaped monsters out there – the human race has warheads enough to blow you to kingdom come. And we may be the invaders...
On Yahoo!7 Answers, some believe that such space travel technology must be accompanied by some sort of advanced weaponry. How many of them are there? How many ships must we stop? How much time, energy have they used compiling weaponry, building society, discovering time travel? All intelligent life need direction - something to do, something to occupy them. Is their focus destroying us?
We may be most powerful race, or we may be amongst the weakest. If alien communities had need for weaponry, they must, then, have cause to use them. And if they are anything like humans, we may have met our match. If not, they may be far more unified, more cohesive as a society, more civil as a race, or more totalitarian and militaristic than Julius Caesar. This is quite the debate. All aliens are welcome to post.

But, as you can imagine, what everyone zeroed in on was that Reagan seemed to be validating the existence of aliens & the jokes and critcisms ran rampant.
