Do you, uh.. umm.. err... *cough*

Does that sound familiar ? You may remember it from the popular Yahoo! slogan of the mid-90's. "Do you, uh, Yahoo! ?" captured the minds and hearts of youth everywhere. Now I'm here to ask you a similar question: Do you, uh.. hmm... Well, do you anything?
If you've already opened Google in a new tab or window to find the latest version decrypter for that question, then you need progress no further. Your actions speak louder than Times New Roman, Bold or Underlined text. What I meant to say: What is it that you do, that makes you so unique?
Of course, the blogosphere is not a take/take situation. I have to give you something if I want something back. So I suppose for me, I was always the slapstick comedian, the in-house cheap laughs during long English or Business classes. Now? I'm the guy looking for get rich quick schemes - the ideas man.
Are you the token blogger in your social circles? Or were you that kid who wouldn't stop flirting on MSN Chat ? Maybe you grew up driving a Kingswood, maybe you had a thing for horses. What's that thing you have now?
I'll leave you with the question that inspired this post, at 11:00 on a thursday night.
Do you, uh.. umm... errrr.... hmmmm... *crickets chirping, tumbleweed drifts gently by*...

At school I was the irritating girl who never did any work and got the highest marks in the year level. Weirdly, these days I'm the one who is treated like a total bimbo by friends who mistakenly believe that being fun and happy means that you are stupid....weird.....
I have 2 features that are very defining of me:
1. I'm a natural born joiner. You want to try something new and want a buddy to do it with? I'm the girl. From softball, netball, calisthenics, gymnastics, ballet, guitar, singing lessons, french lessons and more recently tap dancing, pole dancing and belly dancing. Eh, what can I say, try anything once....if you don't like it, don't do it again. Hell, I'm not discriminating, I was even a member of the math team at middle school in America (before you all say I was a total nerd, I feel compelled to point out that I was also on the PomPom squad - similar to the cheerleaders, except cheerleaders just did cheers during the games and we did dances at halftime....so I wasn't a total nerd!).
2. I can't say NO (probably why I'm such a joiner.Lol). So I end up doing things like doing a 10km fun run because the day before it my sister convinced me it would be a good idea. Or doing a mini-triathlon. Again, my sister is to blame for that one. Usually it's all good.....but unfortunately my friends do have a tendency to take advantage of my inability to say no. It's something I need to work on! Ironically, I was a member of the Just Say No club at middle school in America (back in the days of the Reagan administration and Nancy Reagan's Just Say No initiative).....and I've never 'just said no' to ANYTHING.
I can definitely see that you're an ideas man. And can picture you as the comic relief in class.
Great post, even if the inspiration came at 11pm!!

You've had such an amazing life. In year 7 I failed Science and Maths, was overweight and thought being dumb, as in mentally deficient, was cool. I suppose I didn't take the transition from primary to secondary too well. The only club I ever joined with this digital imaging thing, and I gave up faster than I could get to the actual class.
And hey ! I can't say no either ! I almost went home with this cheap-looking and desperate girl because I didn't have the guts to say no. I had to leave the place to avoid talking to her.
I loved hearing the Maths team in America thing. That's cool. I suppose you grew up there. You must have been the only Maths nut and PomPom Girl in the U.S. Nuts ! Thanks for posting Kylie, I loved hearing your story

I did have a fun childhood. Thanks to my dad being in the Air Force, I lived in Malaysia for 3 years and then in the US for 3 years. Nothing like living in 3 countries and having attended 9 different schools in total to get a different perspective on things!
Man...I didn't realise I'd written such a novel of a comment in the first place!

We would make a great comedy - sort of like Seinfeld only with decent actors ( though I do like Jason Alexander, but that's another story ). I'm so intensely sheltered and you've been jet-setting since you were old enough to have free flights. I'm sure I just made that up then, in the interest of sensationalism, but anyway...
Thanks for the great, informative post !!!
