Doing the Squiggly?
June 8th 2009 21:23
People will do anything to get some footage on YouTube these days as police in Glasgow have discovered.
Glasgow’s newest bridge is a £6m structure, linking Tradeston to Broomielaw. The bridge is known as the Squiggly bridge because of its two pointed supports and it opened in May.
Police became alarmed however when footage started appearing on sites such as YouTube of people running up and down the supports.
The trend has been dubbed “doing the squiggly” and many others have posted accounts of their own escapades on personal blogs.
Local police have warned of the dangers and foolhardiness in taking part in this new craze and are so worried about public safety they have increased police patrols and video surveillance on the bridge.

Sounds like a really risky thing just for a YouTube video. What do you think?
