Only in America - Pet Airways!

July 14th 2009 09:40

I thought the airline industry was in trouble or maybe this is one way of getting out of it. Pet Airways is an airline that has pets travel in the main cabin rather than being relegated to the cargo compartment and promotes itself as “a pet-only airline dedicated to pet-friendly travel”.

They offer a lot more. There are ways to track your pet’s travel on their website and they give plenty of tips for you to ensure your pet enjoys the experience.

Take a look at their website here if you don't believe me.

Check out the commercial. It's really funny:

What'll they think of next?

He he, such a cheesy advert. I notice they don't mention the price, just imagine how much it would cost...eekk.

My apologies Tracy. I distinctly remember to replying to this one but it is no longer there. I don't know if you received any comment so I will try again:

It is about $199 US to fly each way - New York - Chicago.

If you want to check out a little more, their website is:

Thanks for dropping in.

WoW, Janet. It seems that the pets are now traveling in First Class, rather than being treated like a trash, when they're throwing into the cargo compartment in the old days.

I thought it's a very good service, as we should treat the animals equally, as the way we treating other people!

A little over the top maybe, Wilson, but nice. Did you like the ad?

Hi Janet

Thanks for that...it doesn't sound as exorbitant as I was expecting.

It's still a cheesy ad though!

I agree Tracy. It almost looks like an ad from decades ago.

i think some of these dogs would probably be a lot better behaved than some of the dregs you see on those Airline reality shows.

That's very true, Gai. That's probably why the hosties look so happy

i would pay extra to have my cat less distressed

you rarely have to fly an animal anywhere unless you are moving interstate

it cost me $180 to fly my cat as freight from Sydney to Launceston with Virgin Blue, so i think the price of the new airline sounds reasonable . . . i bet it becomes successful
