Tired of Performance Enhancement!
August 17th 2008 12:03
I am a bit tired of hearing about “performance enhancement” this week. The Olympics has brought us just too much of it. Whether it is performance enhancing drugs or performance enhancing swimming costumes, I have overdosed on it.
It’s not however the drugs taken by the athletes or the costumes they wear that irritate me the most. The one that drives me to distraction is that advertisement that has crept up almost everywhere – on buildings, at the side of highways, on the back of public toilet doors and almost anywhere you can think of.
It is the “WANT BETTER SEX” advertisement followed by a number to call. For a while they limited this advertising to radio and that offended me just as much. Stupid corny ads talking about the knocking coming from next door or two ladies talking about the great night they had with their mate the night before.
Soon they will be sponsoring shows and car races and sports events I am sure, taking all the advertising space that has been forcibly removed from cigarette companies and alcohol products.
Maybe we are in stall for more - footballers perhaps wearing “WANT BETTER SEX” jerseys? It certainly couldn’t be worse than those big ugly signs they use now.

Wasn't aware of this but it doesn't surprise me - boys, their toys and horsepower!
Thanks for the comment.

You wouldn't have to be an advertising guru to come up with a campaign to exhort the males in our populace to become more virile!!! Perhaps it would be a greater challenge for an ad exec to create a campaign to convince our femme fatales to become more compliant!!??
Just kidding,
