Warning: Kissing can be Dangerous
December 9th 2008 21:02
Doctors in Southern China are warning people to proceed with caution when kissing after a woman in her twenties was admitted to hospital after partially losing her hearing.
The woman from Zhuhai, a southern Guangdong province in China, had ruptured her eardrum during an excessively passionate kiss, the local media reported on Monday.
The kiss left her completely deaf in one ear.
Dr Li from the hospital explained the link: “The kiss reduced pressure in the mouth, pulled the eardrum out and caused the breakdown of the ear”.
The good news is that Dr Li is confident this loss of hearing will not be permanent, suggesting the woman's hearing would likely return to normal after about two months.
“While kissing is normally very safe, doctors advise people to proceed with caution,” the paper said.

I'm speaking from experience, luckily I didn't end up deaf like this poor woman but it was close. Plus, he had dracula teeth to help his keep his grip firm and steady.
Eekk.
