Our obsession about looking really great all the time cannot be illustrated further than a former pageant queen from Argentina losing her life for the sake of a great body.
Solange Magnano, a 38-year-old Argentinian woman who had been a former Miss Argentina, died from complications resulting from cosmetic surgery to have none other than a firmer butt.
While the result of the operation has been rather extreme, Magnano had been the mother of eight-year-old twins, but her obsession about having a tight butt has now left her dead and her twins without a mother. Aren't there more imprtant things in life than having a real good butt?
What is it with all of us that we are so obsessed about looking like teenagers even into our middle age? Wouldn’t it be more important to be healthy and happy for your kids or has this gone by the wayside?

That's what I hate so much about women who fear getting older - they're so anti-feminist because their looks are taking priority over their careers, families and personal development. I don't fear aging at all myself, because only when I have lost my outward youthfulness will I be taken seriously in my profession. I'm actually looking forward to it!
Of course, it's easy to say when you're in your late twenties and still have your looks, but I truly hope that in ten years time I won't be obsessing over a less-than-perfect bum. At that age there should be many more important things going on in my world.

II agree with you wholeheartedly. While it is really good for women to look after themselves, things have gone a bit haywire and the obsession of looking sexy all the time, no matter what age, really needs to be examined.
What price do we pay for a sexy body?

Youth is so fleeting and you need to nab a partner when you are that hot tight teen and then let yourself go to the dogs. Haha - ok not quite.
I think people, myself included, believe they cannot get a partner or be the centre of attention anymore due to that youthful look leaving or aging away. I can understand wanting to regain that youthful look and with it confidence and notice from others. I know this is probably shallow but this woman in particlual was the centre of attention when she was younger and probably because of that tight butt. Now she probably wasn't being noticed as much and thought the way to get attention was to get that butt back. It is just a horrendous shame that this shallow chase for perfection, even man made perfection, has cost this woman her life and left those little twins motherless.
