Mansion Living is not for Everyone
August 9th 2010 14:09
An English couple recently decided that living in an mansion was not all it was cracked up to be. They made the move to this lifestyle after winning an £8.5 million dollar lottery in 2007, buying a dream home for £1.8 million in Hampshire.
The Chesters then added to their 7.3 hectare estate, adding a pool, a sauna and a cinema. This sort of glamorous life never really lived up to their expectations they say.
After spending years in a very small house they couldn’t afford to renovate, the Chesters found the house just a little too big. They could hardly find each other in it according to lottery winner and father of four, Neil.
Now the mansion is up for sale.
According to Neil Chester, he and his wife just didn’t enjoy living in the large and abundant surroundings. He told the Daily Mail that life was too stressful in a big house and that “in a small house you are always all together. Now I have to make a point of finding them – we don’t even watch TV together as we are all in different rooms”.
There won’t be any cause for tears if they get their asking price for the property. They are asking a mere £4.75 for the revamped property. They could certainly live happily ever after in a small property if someone comes to the party.
