God's Ugly Children

February 5th 2008 05:34
RELIGION is a brutal bastard of a thing, especially when the fundamentalists start preaching their hateful claptrap.
God isn’t nice at all: he, she, or it is always backing one faith over another. And he’s a vengeful bugger, with an attitude to human suffering equaling the CIA with their secret torture clinics.
If you bumped into God in a bar, you’d have to glass the prick on general principle.
Uglier than Himself, are his psycho followers.
When you get the likes of the Westboro Baptist Church, an evil bunch whose declared enemies reads like an Al Qaeda hate list, you have to wonder if it isn’t time to just put this sicko world out of its misery — leaving God to gaze over one gigantic ashtray; an act that’d be comparable to the Russians burning Moscow to stuff Napoleon.

A programme airing on ABC TV, Jihad Sheilas, focuses on two Australian women, or traitors as the case could be argued, who converted to Islam, and embraced extremism. Osama is their pin-up boy.
According to the daily papers, which are squalling already, Mudgee-born Rabiah Hutchinson is quoted as expressing little sympathy for those killed in the Bali bombings, but has plenty of admiration for the bombers.
Her reasons for being such a callous c*** are, “Because they (the victims) were holidaying in someone's country, sometimes engaging in child pornography or pedophilia or drug taking.”
That’s a sound reason, and yes, that’s all Aussies ever do in Bali, run amok raping tackers while berko on goofballs.
Yet, this spiritually bi-polar freak retains an Australian passport, and is allowed to crap in our sewers when she’s not off cowering from the almighty in Kenya where she divides her holy time between.
I say, bog off traitor, and to all you religious loonies, take your stinking God with you!

There’s enough cruelty in this world, without you finding celestial reasons to create more.

Religion is a curious thing isn't it? what has always bugged me about christianity is the so called problem of evil. If God is as claimed- all powerfull, all loving and all knowing then the existence of evil is a small problem. Of course the typical resonse by the theist is to refer to God giving man free will (this doesn't mean much in a fixed game). My issue is Satan's role in this. It is obvious that Satan himself is not as powerfull as God which in turn would make the extent of his power finite. So in other words if God wanted he could make Satan cease to exist. And yet he doesn't. why? The cynic may suggest that to God Satan may have his uses. Like helping man with his free will problem if Satan is waiting below to punish anyone who sins against God then Satan is helping Humans to decide that it is better to obey God's laws. So even though God is all powerfull he still has to fix the game. What this suggests is that not only is God vain but he also has some self confidence issues.
