What a Dame!

Age does not get in the way of our most famous housewife. Yes, she is about to give Nicole, Cate, Kate and all those other celebrities a run for their money in the cosmetics industry.

In what appears to be an excellent collaboration with M.A.C. cosmetics, Dame Edna Everage recently launched her own range of cosmetics in Los Angeles. The collection is packaged in her signature colour lavender and of course, the Dame Edna specs.

If you are about understatement, the collection isn’t for you. Products include a Kanga-rouge lipstick, Possum Nose Pink lipgloss and What A Dame! highlight powder. If you are after more of a statement than that, you can try the Royal Tour eye-shadow and the Varicose Violet Nail polish.

“It’s lovely being a M.A.C. dame. I’ve often been asked to share my (beauty) secrets and now I have with M.A.C.

“Follow my beauty regime possums and you’ll never be cosmetically challenged” she said at the L.A. launch.

Dame Edna is the first Australian celebrity to have an international collection with the brand.

The products will be available in Australia at M.A.C. outlets from January 12. Dame Edna will officially launch her new range in Sydney at David Jones on January 16.

Mmmmm........lilacs!

I think so too Michelle. Good on them and good on her. Unfortunately, lilacs and violets aren't really me!

Thanks for visiting.
